Journal of American Studies represents the scholarship of American Studies from a Korean perspective.
The journal welcomes interdisciplinary academic papers on American society, history, politics, literature, philosophy, economics, popular culture, and related subjects.
The journal is published three times a year: May, September, and December. Each issue carries both Korean and English articles submitted from around the world. Those who present a paper at the ASAK international conference are strongly encouraged to submit their works to the journal.
The journal is distributed to all due-paying ASAK members free of charge.

Guidelines for Authors

Submitted articles should be in MS Word format. Articles should be 5,000 words in length or longer if approval is given by the editor.
Submitted articles should include abstracts of 15?20 lines with five keywords.
Submitted articles should contain a separate title page with the title and the author’s name, affiliation, present position, and e-mail address.
Submitted articles should follow either MLA or Chicago Manuel of Style guidelines for format, citations, and references. Formatting should be kept to a minimum. Please note that articles accepted for publication may be subject to minor stylistic editing.
Submitted articles should contain footnotes rather than endnotes, and these should be placed at the bottom of each page.
